Nous sommes heureux… depuis hier encore un peu plus. Lors du vernissage de l’exposition de notre Club photo nous nous sommes chacun mérités une première place. Michèle dans la catégorie « Intérêt humain », Claudel dans la catégorie « Noir et blanc ».
La photo de Michèle a été prise sur les terrasses de Mammoth Hot Springs dans le légendaire Parc National de Yellowstone au Wyoming. Le paysage lunaire caractéristique de l’endroit et l’aura unique qui se dégage des sujets principaux contribue à l’ambiance particulière qui s’en dégage.
La photo de Claudel a été capturée dans le Parc National de Canyonlands en Utah. Les corbeaux sont omniprésents dans ce coin de pays mais ils sont plutôt craintifs et pas si faciles d’approche. Ce corbeau solitaire a été plus coopératif que bien d’autres. Il a tenu la pose quelques minutes… le temps nécessaire pour chercher le bon angle.
L’exposition est ouverte toute la journée aujourd’hui et demain… alors si vous cherchez une activité ludique et gratuite pour combler une partie de cette fin de semaine grisâtre… allez faire un tour du côté du Domaine de Maizeret. Vous verrez que les membres de notre club photo ont du talent et savent l’exprimer.

We are very happy … since yesterday a little more. At the opening of the exhibition of our photo Club we each deserved first place. Michele in the « Human interest » category; Claudel in the « Black and White » category.
Michèle’s photo was captured on the terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs in the legendary Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The lunar landscape characteristic of the place and the unique aura that emanates of the main subjects contributes to the special atmosphere that emerges.
Claudel’s photo was captured in the Canyonlands National Park, Utah. Ravens are omnipresent in this part of the country but they are rather timid and not so easy to approach. This solitary raven was more cooperative than others. He held the pose for a few minutes … long enough to find the right angle.
The exhibition is open all day today and tomorrow… so if you are looking for a fun and free activity to fill some of this gray weekend… head straight to the Domaine Maizeret. You will see that the members of our photography club have talent, and know how to express it.
