It was in 2011 that our adventure on the web began. We then each opened an account at «Photoblog.com» (Michèle and Claudel). Our goal was simple: to show our photos. In 2013, we stopped feeding these pages and developed two self-managed sites: «micheleroyphotographe.ca» and «clemieux.ca». On these sites, we wanted to show our photos but also to blog.
Two years later, we decided to blog together. «Photos42.ca» was born. From that point on, we had a hard time keeping up with the management of three websites.
2017 was therefore the ideal time to regroup all our web activities under one site. «micheleetclaudel.ca» was designed to share our best moments with our friends and family. The site includes a blog and photo albums.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we invite you to click on the thumbnails to open the photos in the full-screen viewer and thus enjoy them at their maximum quality.
Michèle
Rather intuitive, agronomist by training, and specialized in agricultural entomology. For twenty-five years, I worked in R & D in the sector of crop protection. All in all, a career full of satisfaction and accomplishments, alongside challenging specialists in phytoprotection, innovative agricultural producers, and stimulating students.
I discovered photography in my laboratory when I co-authored a book on cranberry pests. For a few years, I developed my photography skills, for documentary purposes, as I contributed populating an image database.
In 2010, some trigger drove me to photography, leading to a new chapter.
In life, in addition to photography, I like to travel, and discover and explore nature. I really like running and doing Essentrics. I like to listen to music, go to the movies, and choose the film. I love to be with my lover, my children and grandchildren, and my dog.
In photography, I like to observe, to discover, to compose my subject, and to wait for the right «moment». Although I master the technique and the post-treatment, I am less technical and more emotional. I try to leave some space to the left side of my brain!

Claudel
Rather Cartesian, biologist by training, specialized in weed control. For twenty-three years, I have been conducting a research program focussing on reducing dependency to herbicides. Then, some will say I moved toward the dark side… I became a research manager. All in all, a career source of many satisfactions.
I was initially exposed to the practice of photography during college years. For a long time, I practiced regularly but mainly for documentary purposes; more or less like a sideline… a bit like a background noise in my life!
But since 2010, photography takes a more important place.
In life, I like traveling, driving, exploring nature, cycling, staying fit, and seeing myself as a photographer. I like to go to the movies, provided that others choose the film. I like to listen to music without knowing anything about it. I love to be with my wife.
In photography, of course, I am interested in shooting, but also in the more technical aspects of this art. I like the post treatment steps that have replaced the long hours in the darkroom. I try to leave a little more space to the right side of my brain!
